• FIXED – Size-based Cold Foam Calculations: Fixed an issue where certain cold foams were using the same nutritional values across different cup sizes instead of applying the correct size-specific values.
• FIXED – Iced Banana Bread Latte: Manually building the drink from an Iced Caffè Latte now correctly matches the official seasonal drink at 290 / 420 / 540 calories for Tall / Grande / Venti, including the full nutrition panel.
• FIXED – Other Seasonal Drinks: The same issue was also corrected for drinks using Pumpkin Cream and Lavender Cream, so their hand-built versions now correctly match their seasonal counterparts.

• NEW – New drinks get discovered — When browsing “Popular,” a few recent creations are now mixed in so fresh drinks don’t get buried.

UX Improvements:

• Your drink highlights after saving — After you share a drink, the list automatically switches to “Newest” and scrolls to your card with a green glow so you can find it instantly.
• Quick save prompt after calculating — A small “Save ↓” button now appears in the calorie box after you calculate, making it easier to share your creation.
• Guided customization hint — First-time visitors now see a “Tap + to add” hint when they pick a customization, so the flow is clearer.
• Cleaner input label — The drink name field now says “Optional — we’ll name it for you” instead of the old technical wording.

Background – This is honestly one of my favorite features I’ve built for this calculator, and I’ve spent quite a bit of time brainstorming and refining it. My goal was to include as many useful options as possible — from saving and sharing drinks to browsing, filtering, sorting, and voting.

That said, I’m sure there are still ways it could be improved. If you have ideas or suggestions that you think would benefit other users, I’d genuinely love to hear them. Feel free to share your feedback, and I’ll definitely look into it!

Quick snapshot – Community drink sharing feature launched.

What’s New:

• NEW – Save & Share Your Custom Drinks – Save your custom drink with a name (custom or auto-generated) and generate a shareable link that loads the exact drink directly in the calculator.
• NEW – Community Drinks Browser – Browse drinks shared by other users. Filter by calories, drink type, or price, and sort by popular, trending, newest, rating, calories, or price.
• NEW – Voting System – Upvote or downvote drinks without creating an account.
• NEW – Drink Stats & Badges – Drinks show view count, votes, share count, and estimated price. Badges like New, Trending, and Top Rated highlight popular creations.
• NEW – Shareable Drink URLs – Each saved drink has a unique link that loads the exact customization directly into the calculator.

Mar 06, 2026 – Version 1.9.6

Quick snapshot – Spring menu drinks and bakery items added.

What’s New:

• NEW – Spring Seasonal Drinks Added – Lavender and Toasted Coconut drinks are now available, along with Iced Lavender Cream Chai, Iced Chai Latte, and the new Ube drink option.
• NEW – Bakery & Dessert Items Added – Several new bakery items and desserts have been added to the calculator, including new cake pops, croissant pastries, loaf cakes, and other seasonal treats.

Note: Some drinks use the Chai pump, and I noticed that the newer chai has significantly fewer calories compared to the previous version. Based on this analysis, I’ve updated the nutritional data for the new Chai pump in the calculator.

However, some older drinks (such as Gingerbread Chai and similar seasonal items) previously used the older chai formulation. To maintain accuracy, the original version has been kept as “Chai Pump – Old.”

Currently, only Chai Tea Latte and Iced Chai Tea Latte use the new chai pump. Both versions are available in the calculator so users can choose the appropriate option, in case some stores still use the older chai concentrate.

Quick snapshot – Performance boost and bug squashed! I’ve turbocharged the calculator with optimized queries, fixed the size-change customization carryover bug, and refreshed the homepage design. Plus, all the holiday menu refinements from our previous update.

Issues Fixed:

• FIXED – Size Change Bug Fix – Resolved an issue where customized items (like milk splashes or syrups) added to one size would unexpectedly carry over when switching to a different size. For example, if you added “Splash of 2% Milk” to a Tall drink and then switched to Grande, that customization would ghost its way into the new size even though you never added it. Now, changing sizes properly resets your custom additions as expected.
• FIXED – Performance Optimization – Better query optimization, improved speed and responsiveness.

Improvements & Data Updates:

• UPDATED – Vanilla Sweet Cream Update – Updated the nutritional data for Vanilla Sweet Cream based on the standard recipe ratio using Heavy Cream, Standard Milk and Vanilla Syrup. It generally goes by 3:2:1 ratio.
• UPDATED – Homepage Redesign – Complete visual overhaul of the calculator interface with improved user experience and modern design elements.

(Note: Skimmed and Semi-Skimmed Milk have been added specifically for these UK recipes).

• NEW – Eggnog is Back – The holiday classic Eggnog Latte is now available! (Re-updated Note: Nutritional data is sourced from official Starbucks Canada USA).

Feb 21, 2025 – Version 1.7.5

Data Update:

UPDATED 21-Feb – Various nutritional data has been updated for customizations such as Milk, Syrups, Sauces, Scoops, and more. In total, nutritional values for over 45 options have been revised.

Note: The logic for larger sizes such as Grande, Venti, and Trenta will also be updated in the coming days.

Example: In a Tall Cran-Merry Drink, the Coconut Milk contributes 80 calories, while the Cranberry Fruit Inclusions add 15-20 calories, bringing the total to approximately 100 calories. When switching to a larger size, such as Grande, the milk portion increases, leading to a higher overall calorie count.

Based on my current analysis, nutritional values generally increase by 25-30% with each size upgrade. I am conducting further research, and once complete, I will update the code logic accordingly. I estimate that the final analysis and code changes will take approximately 1-2 weeks.

• NEW Search functionality for in the drink down. Finding your drinks are now easy.
• NEW Filter options that let’s you find your perfect drinks matching all your customizations such as milk, calorie range, toppings, cold foams, syrups, and sauces.

Issues fixed:

• FIXED Duplicate drink name from the the dropdown menu – Lemonade and Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refreshers were repetitive.
• FIXED Classic Syrups customizations were missing from Matcha Latte( Iced and Hot both). Thanks to Christian for bringing to my attention.

Note: Please avoid selecting multiple customizations at once, as it may result in no results. Not all drinks have full customization options—some offer just milk and syrups, while others have different choices.

🌟 New Features & Updates 🌟 – Version 1.7.1

I’m thrilled to announce a much-anticipated update to the calorie calculator tool. 🎉

What’s New?

1. Cold Foams, Toppings, and Drizzles
   You can now select Extra, Light, No, or Regular intensities for your cold foams, toppings, and drizzles. Add as many as you like with varying intensities, and the nutritional calculations will update instantly.
2. Easier Customization Adjustments
   Previously, if you wanted to change the intensity of an existing customization, you had to delete it and start over. Not anymore! Now, you can tweak any added customization directly, saving time and effort.
3. Improved Preloaded Customization Options
   You can change intensities from both the preloaded customization dropdown and the full customization screen. While the preloaded dropdown doesn’t show the added items to avoid clutter, you can always see the complete list in the “Your Order” section.
4. Refreshed Trending Data
   The trending items list has been refreshed for January, and it will now update automatically at the start of every month. Keep an eye on what’s hot this season! 🔥

1. Syrups & More: I plan to add more flexibility for syrup customizations and other sections with quantities.
2. Winter Menu Updates: Starbucks’ new winter menu drinks like Cortado, Pistachio Beverages, and Matcha Latte are on my radar and will be added soon, complete with customizations.

• New Features:
  1. Generate Order: Quickly create orders with or without default settings for a streamlined experience.
  2. Trending Beverages Tracker: View the top beverages trending daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Additional Notes:
  • Chart updates may take up to 1 minute to reflect the latest selections.
  • Data is retained only for the current month and refreshes at the start of each new month.
  • If a user remains on the first auto-selected product for at least 1 minute, it will be considered as customizing that product, and it will be included in the tracking data for generating trending charts. For example, in the “Hot” category, the first product, Caffè Americano, will be tracked.
• Behind the Scenes: These updates were designed to give users better insights into popular drink trends and a more interactive ordering experience.

Major Updates – September, 7th 2024

Hey Everyone, We have rolled out another major and much awaited features on our tool i.e. Calorie Calculation with drink customization. This wouldn’t have been possible because of you and the reddit community. We hope you’ll like this features. Let’s jump in what we all have got for you.

Just a quick note: the default drink options (without any customizations) already come with certain ingredients included. Any customizations you make will add on top of what’s already in the drink by default.

But that’s not all—we’ve got some exciting updates in the pipeline! Here’s what you’ll find in future updates:

1. Functionality to add multiple options for each customization (e.g., more flavor options for espresso shots).
2. A Reset button and a Share button so you can easily start over or share your drink with friends.
3. Updated drink and nutritional data, including all the latest from Starbucks through September 2024.
4. Plus, we’re planning some UI/UX improvements to make the tool even easier to use.

New Features & Updates – August 2024

Hello everyone, we have brought another update and your support and feedback have been truly amazing. This update has bunch of new UI and application behavior changes. Here is snapshot:

Simplified Categories: Merged Breakfast, Lunch, and Oatmeal into a single category called Food/Meal, making it easier for navigation.

Single Product Name Drop Down: We’ve removed category drop down and now you’ll find product name drop down, which consists of product name along with its top-line category. It will be in parent-child hierarchy.

Size selection: Size drop down has been taken off. You’ll now find icons for your favorite drink along with its labels.

Few Key Enhancements:

On very first page load, calculator automatically selects the first category(Hot), first product and the smallest size available. This way, you’ll have limited number of clicks to get to the result. And this happens for every other category you choose manually.

   • Earlier everything was single drop down. Comment: Updated the tool, and now its provides top category option, which then filters out the underlying category. Updated on 12-Jan-2024
